RICHARD’S BOOKS
CHESS FOR KIDS is a story book for young children learning chess, using humour to teach the basics. It’s been an Amazon best-seller since its publication in 2010.
THE RIGHT WAY TO TEACH CHESS TO KIDS is an essential guide for parents whose children are learning chess.
CHESS FOR SCHOOLS is Richard’s 2022 book explaining the best ways for schools to promote the game of chess. Make sure your children’s school has a copy!
Richard’s new self-published CHESS HEROES books provide a complete course taking readers from learning the moves through to adult club standard and beyond. They’re written for teachers, parents who are helping their children at home and older learners, not for young children.
CHESS FOR HEROES is a simple introduction. CHESS HEROES: CHECKMATES, TACTICS, OPENINGS and ENDINGS, designed to be read in parallel, take you to the point where you can play a proficient game. CHESS HEROES: PUZZLES and GAMES provide quizzes to develop the skills you need in competitive chess.
